ABOUT THE PIECES
Where is your jewellery produced?
All our pieces are designed and produced manually in our workshop, in Porto, by Daniela Silva.
What materials are your pieces made of?
Daniela Silvestre pieces can be produced in Brass, 925 Silver or 14k or 18k Gold.
Are there any alternatives to Gold? I only like golden pieces but Gold is a too big of an investment.
The pieces in 925 Silver and the pieces in Brass can be plated in 24k Gold as a more economical alternative to producing the piece in Gold.
However, we remind you that the plating process involves toxic substances that, even if done in a specialized place and by qualified professionals, have an impact on the environment, and we warn you that any piece gold plated will eventually lose this layer when used daily.
It is possible to re-plate the pieces (additional cost) but it is important to bear in mind that this creates a cycle in which from time to time you will have to plate your pieces, representing yet another expense for you and contributing to the threat of ecosystems.
At Daniela Silvestre , we want to make pieces that last a lifetime while being inclusive and accessible to everyone who identifies with our brand and, therefore, we ask our customers to practice a conscious consumerism.
Will the pieces tarnish?
Gold, the purest metal, does not tend to oxidize. You can polish it by hand with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Silver and Brass, on the other hand, will easily tarnish when exposed to various external chemical agents such as water, creams, perfumes or simply excess humidity in the air or the PH of the skin.
It is a natural process for these metals, but to maintain the original color and shine of these pieces it is important that you keep them in a closed box or bag, like the one we provide with each piece.
To reverse the oxidation process, you can manually polish the pieces with a clean, soft cloth and silver pieces can use a specific product for cleaning this metal, such as Silver Dip . [Always follow the instructions for use of these products meticulously to obtain the desired results.]

Will I be allergic to your pieces?
Generally, the cause of allergies to accessories is the presence of nickel or cadmium in the production process. At Daniela Silvestre we do not use either of these two metals, so you will most likely not be allergic to our pieces.
However, some people are sensitive to other metals such as Brass, and in these cases it is advisable to use only Silver or Gold. It is important that you know your body's response to certain materials in order to make the right choice for you.
How do I know the ideal size for my ring?
Visit our Ring Size Guide page and find your number! We remind you that you must measure the ring or finger according to the finger you intend to use your new Daniela Silvestre piece on.

Can you customize a piece?
We will be happy to hear your ideas and we will do our best to make them come true, whether for a special moment or person or even for you!

I found an image of a piece I like online. Can you make it?
At Daniela Silvestre we do not make copies of other artists' work.
However, we can create a piece with you inspired by the one you liked, while respecting the aesthetics and ethos of our brand.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Where do you ship to?
We ship to Mainland Portugal, to Açores and Madeira Islands and all European Union countries. For more information please go to our Shipping Policy.
What are the shipping costs?
The shipping costs are calculated ate checkout and may vary depending on the destination country. You can check the shipping costs in our Shipping Policy.
How long does it take for my order to arrive?
After we receive your order, we will start its production process with the greatest care and as soon as possible. At Daniela Silvestre, we highly value the manual process, so please allow up to 15 working days for us to finalize your order.
If you would like to receive your Daniela Silvestre piece in less time, we suggest you visit our ready-to-ship pieces section. In this case, it will take us up to 2 working days to prepare the order.
For national orders, the carrier will take up to 72 hours to deliver your order. Internationally, depending on the country and time of year, it will take up to 10 working days.

Can I exchange or return an item?
For exchanges or returns contact us via email at info@danielasilvestre.com and we will take care of everything. However, the exchange or return must be made within 15 working days after receiving the order.
The piece must be accompanied by the original packaging and not show any signs of use. Custom made pieces are non-returnable and shipping costs are non-refundable.
In the case of a return, the amount will be refunded within 72 hours after receiving the item.
